Hotshots Students play at Brisbane International

Sixteen students from Shaw Park and Everton Tennis Centres were invited to demonstate their skills to the public at a special “Hotshots” presentation during the Brisbane International in January.

Our players were joined on court with specialist doubles players from Australia, Ashley Fischer (ranked 53 in the world for doubles) and Stephen Huss (ranked 46). Ashley and Stephen are currently the highest ranked Australian doubles pairing with Stephen winning the mens doubles crown at Wimbledon in 2007.

Ashley and Stephen spent over 45 minutes playing doubles with all our students, they gave advice, autographs and then joined in for a special photo shoot.

Hotshots is a new modified tennis program operating at Shaw Park and Everton Tennis Centres. The program uses modified equipment to teach students the game of tennis faster.
